Christmas Joy-A Perfect Christmas Isn’t About All the Things

Thinking about what makes a perfect Christmas and what puts Christmas in our hearts, I realize, today, I already have the things that make Christmas perfect. In fact, I have them all year-long, not just in December.

Thinking about the perfect Christmas, I ponder. What are the usual list of characters that make Christmases merry?

Eight Ways to Fake The Smell Of A Live Tree

In my adult life, I have only had three live Christmas trees. I love the beauty, the un-perfect look, and the smell of a live tree. However, I don’t love the clean up, fire hazard, or the stress of stringing the lights.

Having a faux tree is a convenience, for sure. No needles on the floor. Faux trees, or forever trees, are also more economical because you can re-use the tree, year after year. And, if you buy a pre-lit tree, you have the ease of the lights, the ease of no stress of stringing the lights.

Be Thankful Daily-Not Just In November

Tis the season to be thankful. I try to look around daily and give my gratitude to whom it belongs. Being blessed, with little things, as well as the big, daily, not just in November. We get blessings daily, why shouldn’t we be thankful daily?

A few years ago, I didn’t have a lot of “stuff” to be thankful for, so I learned to look around and search for what I already had to be thankful for. Daily.  This became a ritual for me and thankfully, still is today. I had a lot, even though we were going through a storm. I just had to open my eyes. I began praying prayers of thanksgiving throughout the day. We always have good in our life, even if we have gale-force winds causing damage to our otherwise happy lives. We have blessings and things to be thankful for. Always. It is up to us to open our eyes, see the things, and be grateful.

October is a beautiful time to travel with friends. Then again, all twelve months are great for traveling. Today, October 30, is a great day!

In my writing challenge, I am writing abut fall and fall feels. Today, I write about traveling in the fall with friends.

After all, life was meant for good friends and great adventures!

October is a month we travel in, not sure why, but we always do.

We have traveled to New York, Ruidoso, London, Las Vegas and San Francisco and Napa. All in October.

Psoriatic Arthritis came into my life last year, but actually long before.  October 29 is World Psoriatic Arthritis Day. I want to share with you what PsA is and how it makes me feel.

I want to get real with Psoriatic Arthritis.  I don’t want sympathy because there are far worse things I could have. And, I am thankful for my health. But, I want to get real and show you, with my words, what is like to have this disease.

My Perfect Fall Morning

My perfect fall morning involves sleeping in, cool weather, coffee and my pups. I include my husband, on these perfect fall mornings, on the weekend.

I love sitting outside, watching my weenie dogs and my lab run around the yard on a crisp morning. They always have a lot of energy, without the summer heat. The squirrels busy gathering acorns and pecans and my pups are busy chasing them.
