Courage-Challenging Yourself to Get Out Of Your Comfort Zone

Courage and bravery can mean anything to anyone. To me, courage is doing something that is uncomfortable, something that causes my heart to race, something that will help me grow as a writer, and as a person.

Courage is defined as “the ability to do something that frightens one.” And also as, “strength in the face of pain or grief.”

I have written about courage many times before, and I think it is important enough to write about again. I have written about my mantra–Over the Edge, how I found these three powerful words and why I use them.

What Over the Edge and being brave mean to me

Over the Edge.  What does this mean to me?  Stepping, jumping, leaping Over the Edge is my way of getting out of my comfort zone, not standing still–moving forward.  Over the Edge is my mantra.

I recently was honored to be published in Holl and Lane Magazine. This was a dream of mine.  Anytime I can write, be published, be read, is a true dream.  A dream that I once thought would never be fulfilled. A dream that would never have happened if I wouldn’t have gone Over the Edge.
